Liposuction and Liposculpture

It has been proved that after puberty, the body no longer produces fat cells. In fact, when we gain weight, there is an increase of the volume of the fat cells and not in their number. The purpose of Liposuction is to remove localised fat deposits in certain areas of the body (abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheeks, neck). It may also be performed in the Liposculpture variant (i.e. a "superficial Liposuction" performed below the dermis). With this kind of plastic surgery, you can get a re-shaping of the body contour, which is also effective for improving the appearance of cellulite.

Liposuction permanently removes the adipocytes (fat cells) and enhances the body’s contour. A gain in weight after liposuction surgery causes a "thickening" of the residual cells, but the accumulation that was present prior to liposuction will no longer reform. Liposuction is the only method allowing permanent reshaping of the fat deposits that generate an imbalance between one side of the body and the other and that are due to a hereditary trait and not to overweight.
Liposuction results are permanent.
